Dignity Health Hospice Volunteers Needed Companions for the Journey Dignity Health Hospice serves a wide area, from Santa Ynez/ Solvang and Lompoc through Santa Maria up to San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. Dignity Health Hospice is available 24 hours a day all year long. Patients on hospice have been given a diagnosis of less than 6 months. We serve patients of all ages and nationalities. Volunteers, or companions, are needed in the service are we cover. Volunteers provide a loving and supportive presence at the end of life. We are looking for individuals to sit and visit with patients, provide a break for loved ones, or be with patients on their last day so they are not alone. We are also in need of musicians willing to play soothing music for our patients in their homes.
If you are interested in volunteering,
please call Christine Meugniot at 739-3830, ext. 2061 or send email to Christine.Meugniot(@,dignityhealth.orq to find out more information or to volunteer. Remember, dying happens on the last day. All the other days are about living. And at Dignity Health Hospice, we provide that love and support until the last day.
